Reflections on Atonement: a path towards harmony?

Falling on the heels of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, Emmet Cameron will share thoughts & questions on the communal nature of atonement and repentance. In times of serious rifts in understanding on a global scale, how do we weigh the interpersonal fallout appropriately while maintaining the ties we need to continue the work of repairing our world together?

Emmet comes from a mixed UU & Quaker background (including family ties to our Fellowship), & has been studying Judaism since 2021 with the Or Haneshamah Reconstructionist Community, which shares space with the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa.
