Creating Space for Worship

The Worship Cluster is excited to be offering a workshop aimed at both experienced and aspiring Service Leaders. Come learn how to plan, style, and effectively lead a worship service at UUFO!

Our UU Fellowship is lay led, and we rely on volunteers and members of our community to take part in creating our worship services each week. Service leaders are key to not only planning a service, but their guidance creates the worshipful space that invites contemplation, inspiration, and spiritual nourishment to flourish.

This workshop will explore how to better create a spiritual space for worship.

Objectives:

• Participants will have a clearer understanding and awareness of what “spiritual” spaces mean for themselves
  • Participants will learn about religious injury and how these might affect services they lead
• Participants will identify areas of their strengths and areas for growth in creating a spiritually enriching worship service
• Participants will feel inspired and learn from others in integrating spirituality into the services they lead
  • Participants will learn practical tips and strategies in making the worship services more spiritually enriching
